Therefore, our goal is to reduce our environmental impact.
Waste management
The supplier is responsible for following the designated project-specific rules regarding waste management and source separation.
The supplier is also responsible for the disposal and removal of its own hazardous waste in accordance with the applicable waste regulations.
Chemicals
Chemicals must be stored safely, labelled with the product name and hazard symbol and listed in a chemical inventory.
Measures shall be taken to prevent harmful exposure and release.
Chemical and flammable product information and safety data sheets should be provided to site management.
Reporting
Environmental incidents should be reported as soon as possible in Smartdok if available.
Otherwise it must be reported to Norrbotten Bergteknik's management and the necessary measures taken to minimise the environmental damage.
Risk assessment
As a supplier to us, we want you to identify your environmental risks and the measures you take to minimise the risk before the work starts.
The purpose of a risk assessment is to identify, analyse, evaluate and address risks in projects.
Examples of environmental risks include working near watercourses, the presence of soil contamination, housing in the vicinity of the workplace and dust risks.
Idling
Avoid idling as much as possible, especially when the car is cold as the exhaust gases are at their most toxic.
Many municipalities prohibit idling for more than one minute, so follow that recommendation.
